Do you remember when you were in grade school and acting out or breaking the rules might lead to a trip to the Principal’s office? You probably do. It’s a good bet that you can also remember that kid who always seemed to be spending as much time in the office as he or she did in the classroom because they were the ‘bad’ kid.
While many of us received a scolding, detention or some face time with a school Principal sometime over our entire school lives, the majority of us didn’t ever do anything serious enough to get suspended or expelled. After all, talking in class or failing to do your homework was hardly grounds for getting kicked out and usually just resulted in some minor punishments.
